This seminar is tailored to assist healthcare professionals who could benefit from an improved understanding of how they communicate with their colleagues. Physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, podiatrists, dentists and other healthcare professionals are also invited to participate.

There are many situations in which a new perspective on inter-professional communication in a healthcare setting can make a difference including:

• Repairing damaged relationships
• Improving workplace morale
• Increasing resiliency and improved tolerance for frustration
• Managing stress

The Seminar is not designed to address:

• Significant disruptive behavior or anger management issues
• Physically aggressive behavior in the workplace
• Untreated mental health conditions such as substance abuse or psychiatric conditions

The Seminar takes place over 2.5 days with an optional six-month follow up program. Both are offered remotely and in-depth engagement is expected from all participants.

Step 1: Enrollment - After your initial registration, you will receive a confirmation of enrollment within 48 – 72 hours.

Step 2: Preparation & Assignments  - Your confirmation e-mail will include links to our Learning Management System (LMS) with readings and materials to be completed prior to the session. Approximately one month prior to the session you will receive a self-assessment survey and questions pertaining to your reason for participating in the program and a DiSC Workplace Profile to complete.

Step 3: Enrollment -  Enrollment per session is limited to 13 participants. The Seminar includes a behavior style profile, interactive discussions, simulated work encounters, and development of a personal Plan of Action that covers repairing damaged relationships, more effective stress management and increased resiliency to manage frustrating situations.

Step 4: Seminar Completion - After the Seminar, you will receive a post-Seminar report with recommendations from the faculty. Your report and Plan of Action can be released to a third party at your request.

Step 5: Optional Follow-Up Program - Forming new communication habits takes time, guidance, and support. Optional coaching with Seminar faculty to support the implementation of new learning and support positive change following the Seminar is strongly recommended.
